We celebrate Venerable Clear Grace Dyananda. “Recently honored for her two-year pilgrimage, “The Great Aspiration,” she received The 2024 Outstanding Women of Buddhism award as a testament to her dedication to spreading the transformative teachings of Buddhism and her impact on a wider Buddhist community.”

This past Saturday marked the Grand Opening of Sangha House NOLA where she is the Abbot. The Grand Opening and Welcoming Invocation was held to “pay homage to our ancestors, celebrate, and ask permission from all of those who have come before to bless this sanctuary, this place of refuge, this space.”

“Sangha House NOLA is a Buddhist meditation center and refuge for all sincere seekers of a contemplative path. Our doors are open to the local community, monastics, guests, and residents who wish to gather and share in a community-oriented freedom practice. We affirm the importance of representation and diversity, encouraging members of BIPOC and queer communities to share their authentic selves and offerings with us.”- Venerable Clear Grace Dyananda

Venerable Clear Grace Dyananda “received novice ordination under the guidance of Venerable Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh in the Plum Village Vietnamese Zen tradition. Later, she attained higher ordination (upasampadān) with the Embracing Simplicity Contemplative Order, inheriting transmission-lineages from both Theravada and Mahayana traditions from her Master Preceptors, Ashin U Pannadipa Thero and her Master Maha Theri,  Dr. Pannavati Karuna.”
